What is Whereabouts?

Whereabouts rules require athletes to provide their Anti-Doping Organization or Event Organiser with details of where they can be found for one hour every day. Whereabouts means that you must be where you say you are!

Whereabouts are information provided by RTP athletes every 3 months to enable ADOs to locate them for out-of-competition testing with no advance notice. Athletes must regularly provide accurate and up-to-date Whereabouts information.

The Registered Testing Pool (RTP) is the pool of athletes who are at the highest level of their sports established separately at the international level by their respective International Federations and at the national level by the Brunei Anti-Doping Committee.

RTP Athletes are subject to both in-competition and out-of-competition testing with no-advance notice and therefore are required to provide their Whereabouts information each quarter. This information must be entered and updated in the Athlete Central App(Athlete Central | World Anti Doping Agency) or the Anti-Doping Administration Management System (ADAMS)(ADAMS Login), both managed by WADA.
