Bandar Seri Begawan, Wednesday, 23 Zulhijjah 1447 / 10 June 2026 – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), through its Human Resource Development Unit (HRD), organized the Bicara Inspirasi (BiSAI) program entitled Digital Trust: The Responsibility of Public Servants in Addressing Cybercrime for officials and staff from the ministry and its departments. The program was held at the Digadong Hall, MCYS Building.
The sharing session was delivered by Yang Mulia Chief Inspector Adinin bin Haji Ahmad, Acting Head of the Cyber Research and Development Unit, Cybercrime Investigation Division, Criminal Investigation Department, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF). During the session, the attendees were exposed to various forms of contemporary cyber threats, including phishing, online fraud, malware, and data breaches.
The program aimed to enhance awareness and understanding among officials and staff from the ministry and its departments regarding the risks and challenges posed by the growing prevalence of cybercrime. In addition, it emphasized the importance of identifying early warning signs of cyberattacks, understanding current cyber fraud trends, and practicing appropriate digital security measures to safeguard information and data against cyber threats.
