BRUNEI-MUARA DISTRICT, Thursday, 08 Ramadan 1447 / 26 February 2026 – In further enlivening the blessed month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports together with its departments organized a Majlis Bertadarus Al-Quran at Kampong Pulaie Mosque, Brunei-Muara District.

The event was coordinated by the Language and Literature Bureau and the Brunei History Centre, in collaboration with the Mosque Takmir Committee of Kampong Pulaie Mosque, Brunei-Muara District.

The Majlis Tadarus Al-Quran commenced with the collective recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The program continued with the alternating recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Doa Khas bagi Kesihatan dan Kesejahteraan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, led by Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Arif bin Haji Johari, Imam Level I of Kampong Pulaie Mosque.

The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of wakaf to the Imam of Kampong Pulaie Mosque and concluded with the congregational Asar prayer.

In attendance were the Permanent Secretary, Directors of Departments and Divisions, officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its departments, as well as congregants of Kampong Pulaie Mosque, Brunei-Muara District.

The Majlis Tadarus Al-Quran is among the annual religious programs held during Ramadan by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its departments. The event aims to strengthen appreciation of the Qur’an, foster closer ties among ministry officials, staff, and mosque congregants, and ultimately to attain blessings and multiplied rewards from Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala throughout this month of mercy​​​.​
