BERAKAS, Saturday, 22 Jamadilakhir 1447 / 13 December 2025 – The Brunei Darussalam contingent, comprising 11 members of the Karate Team, has returned to Brunei Darussalam after participating in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) 2025 held in Bangkok, Thailand.


Present at the Brunei International Airport to welcome and congratulate the contingent, and present the congratulatory sashes, was Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary (Culture), along with senior officers from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.


The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat led by Yang Mulia Awang Shahram bin Haji Abd Rahman, followed by congratulatory remarks to the Brunei Darussalam contingent and concluded with a group photo session.


The national Karate athletes succeeded in securing two bronze medals through Yang Mulia Awangku Ahmad Munib Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Md Hasimudin in the Men’s Kumite -55kg event and Yang Mulia 55996 SLD (U) Muhammad Harith bin Dahlan in the Men’s Kumite -60kg event.
