Farewell Ceremony for the Third Departure of the Brunei Darussalam Contingent to the 33rd SEA Games 2025, Bangkok, Thailand

BERAKAS, Wednesday, 19 Jamadilakhir 1447 / 10 December 2025 – A total of four members of the Brunei Darussalam contingent, c​omprising the Weightlifting Team with three athletes and one coach, departed for Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) 2025.


Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid them farewell and offer words of encouragement was Yang Mulia Dayang Zainab binti Haji Morshidi, Acting Director of Youth and Sports, along with officers and staff of the Department of Youth and Sports, the Brunei Darussalam National Weightlifting Association, and the athletes’ families.


The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat led by Yang Mulia Awang Shahram bin Haji Abd Rahman, followed by words of encouragement to the Brunei Darussalam contingent and concluded with a group photo session.


The national weightlifting athletes are scheduled to begin competing on 13 December 2025 at the Chonburi Sports School in Chonburi.


The final group of the contingent will depart for Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, 12 December 2025.
