The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), along with its affiliated departments, organised the Maulidur Rasul celebration for the year 1447H/2025M at the Dewan Digadong, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The event was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary (Culture), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Masfourteen bin Awang Haji Mohd Yusof, Religious Teacher Level II, Youth Development Centre, Youth and Sports Development Division, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The event was further enlivened by a special religious lecture entitled "Rasulullah: Our Exemplary Role Model", delivered by the invited speaker, Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk, Assistant Ra’es III for Student Affairs and Alumni, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College. The lecture explored the role of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the ideal example in nurturing a harmonious, loving, and compassionate family. It also highlighted how the Prophet’s noble character serves as a guide in addressing contemporary family challenges such as economic pressures, social media influence, and youth-related social issues.
The ceremony concluded with a collective recitation of Dikir Marhaban, Selawat Tafrijiyyah, and Sayyidul Istighfar.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Heads of Divisions and Departments, Senior Officers, Officers and Staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, members of youth associations, sports associations, senior citizens activity centres, and senior citizens organisations.
This event is part of the Ministry’s annual religious programs aimed at enhancing the celebration of Maulidur Rasul. It also serves to commemorate the noble efforts and sacrifices of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in spreading the message of Islam, while fostering love and reverence for the Beloved Messenger.
