BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday, 10 Rabiulawal 1447 / 2 September 2025 – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held a Majlis Dikir at As-Salaam Mosque, Kampung Junjongan, in conjunction with the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The event was organised by the Department of Youth and Sports, the Language and Literature Bureau, and the Community Development Department.


Leading the delegation was Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary (Culture) at MCYS.


The programme commenced with the congregational Maghrib prayer, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah to mark the beginning of the dikir maulud, led by the Permanent Secretary (Culture), MCYS.


The event continued with Dikir Assalamualaika, led by Yang Mulia Awang Sh’minan bin Awang Haji Sulaiman, Mosque Affairs Officer at As-Salaam Mosque, Kampung Junjongan, as well as Dikir Khairuman and Dikir Badat performed by the Firqah Al-Falaah group from MCYS.


The ceremony concluded with the congregational Isyak prayer, followed by Dikir Marhaban. The Doa Dikir and the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam were recited by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Hayrol bin Haji Hakim, Level III Imam of As-Salaam Mosque, Kampung Junjongan​


Also in attendance were Yang Berhormat Member of the Legislative Council, Directors of Divisions and Departments, as well as officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and its affiliated departments.


This event is one of the annual religious programmes organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS) and its departments. It also serves as a continuation of the Majlis Dikir held on 26 August 2025. The programme aims to further enliven the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), instil a deeper love and reverence for the Beloved Prophet, and fostering closer ties among MCYS officers and staff.
