Thursday, 8 Zulhijjah 1446 / 5 june 2025 – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports received an official visit from a delegation of Tsinghua University, People's Republic of China, in a ceremony held at the Digadong Hall, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The event commenced with a cultural themed welcome ceremony, which included an instrumental music performance titled Overture, the traditional dance Jipin Laila Sembah, and a rendition of the classic Mandarin song “Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin" . The ceremony continued with a group photo session as a symbolic gesture of the bilateral relationship.
Present as the head of the delegation representing the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports was Yang Mulia Dayang Dr. Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Culture), accompanied by senior officials from the ministry.
The official ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech from the head of the delegation representing the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Also held were two main presentations: the presentation on the Dasar Kebudayaan Negara (DKN) by Yang Mulia Haji Awang Mohd Abdoh bin Haji Awang Damit, Director of Culture and Arts Division, and the presentation on the Dasar Belia Negara dan Strategi (DBNS) by Yang Mulia Dayang Zainab binti Haji Morshidi, Director of Youth and Sports Development Division.
A bilateral discussion session was held to strengthen cooperation in the fields of culture, youth, and education between the two countries. The event concluded with an exchange of souvenirs as a gesture of appreciation.
