Bandar Seri Begawan, Thursday, 17 Zulkaedah 1446 / 15 May 2025 – Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, received a donation from the former students of Form 4, Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien College (SOASC), class of 1975, for the Humanitarian Fund for the Palestinians in Gaza  2023​. The handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports building this morning.

The donation was presented by Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abd Rahman bin Pengiran Seri Indera Pengiran Haji Ismail, Co-Chairman of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Committee of the Form 4 SOASC class of 1975, amounting to Four Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Brunei Dollars (BND 4,450.00).

The contribution was raised through collections from the Golden Jubilee Gathering of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Committee of the Form 4 SOASC class of 1975, which was held on 27 April 2025.

Also present to witness the handover were Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary (Community), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and Yang Mulia Dayang Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Acting Director of Community Development, who served as the Chairperson of the event, along with former SOASC students from the class of 1974.
