BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Saturday, 20 Syawal 1446 / 19 April 2025 – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its Departments held an Appreciation Ceremony for Retirees of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its Departments at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat read by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohd Ali Rahman bin Haji Sulaiman, Supervisor of Sports Fields and Arenas, Youth and Sports Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The ceremony continued with a speech of remembrance from Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Mohammad Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary (Culture) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Chairman of the Ceremony.
Next, the Ceremony of Presentation of Certificates of Service and Certificates of Appreciation to Retirees of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports was officiated by Yang Berhormat Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports to 56 officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its subordinate departments who retired in 2024.
The ceremony also witnessed a Special Video of the Most Beautiful Memories for Retirees and this ceremony aims to recognize the services and contributions of civil servants throughout their service with the government.
To further brighten the ceremony, attendees also witnessed a video presentation of Hari Raya greetings from each division and department in the ministry, followed by several Hari Raya-themed performances that brightened the atmosphere.
Also present were Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary (Community), Yang Mulia Awang Haji Zakaria binti Haji Serudin, Permanent Secretary (Youth), Yang Mulia Dr Dayang Siti Norkhalbi bin Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Culture), Heads of Divisions and Departments, Officers and Staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Its Departments.
