Bandar Seri Begawan, Wednesday, 17 Syawal 1446H / 16 April 2025M – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Estate Management Unit in collaboration with the National Safety, Health and Environment Authority (SHENA), held a Presentation and Information Session on the Introduction of Workplace Safety and Health for Building Operations/Engineering Construction Works and the Requirements for the Appointment of Workplace Safety and Health Officers/Coordinators. The session was held at the Lecture Hall, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas.
The Session started with recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Ridhwan bin Roslan, Assistant Work Officer Tkt II, HSSE Unit, KKBS.
The ceremony continued with a presentation session from SHENA consisting of three presenters, namely Yang Mulia Awang Rozan Justin Teo bin Haji Azlan, Yang Mulia Awang Zaharuddin bin Haji Abd Rahman and Yang Mulia Awang Colin Lai Teck Chiang.
The presentation session was divided into three main topics, namely the Introduction to Workplace Safety and Health for Building Operations/Engineering Construction Works; Requirements for the Appointment of Workplace Safety and Health Officers/Coordinators; and Enforcement Activities. The session ended with a question and answer session.
The session was attended by 80 participants consisting of officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its departments.
