The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Development, held a festive Hari Raya gathering with the residents of the Welfare Home Complex, the Department of Community Development (JAPEM), 1446/2025 which took place at Dewan An-Naura, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
In attendance as Guests of Honour were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development, and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat by a Welfare Home Complex resident, followed by the presentation of donations to the residents and occupants of Welfare Home Complex by the Guests of Honour.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere were musical acts featuring officers, staff, and the residents themselves. The gathering was designed to strengthen bonds between ministry teams and the Welfare Home community, including MCYS's valued partners. Moreover, it was a chance to celebrate the residents' talents and passions, fostering greater self-assurance through their performances.
Also present were Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries from Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, heads of departments under both ministries, the Commissioners of ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC)a, and Yang Mulia Dayang Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh,
Acting Director of Community Development as Chairperson of the event.
