Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in cooperation with various stakeholders has organized the Kembara Amal Ramadan in four districts simultaneously for the year 1445H/2024M to provide basic necessities donations to 17 families from the less fortunate individuals listed in the Department of Community Development (JAPEM) including monthly welfare beneficiaries, orphans, senior citizens and Persons with Different Abilities (OKU).
TEMBURONG DISTRICT
In Temburong District, Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary (Culture) of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Sports, led a visit to a total of 4 houses.
The tour started from two houses in the Kampung Perpindahan Rataie and continued to Kampung Sungai Tanit and Kampung Labu Estate.
Also joining the group are Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, Head of the Labu Estate and Piasau-Piasau Village, Temburong District, senior officials from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (culture sector), officers from Department of Community Development as well as the chiefs and heads of the respective villages.

TUTONG DISTRICT
In the Tutong District, the Kembara Amal Ramadan group was led by Yang Mulia Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary (Community) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
A total of 5 houses were visited starting from Kampung Bukit Beruang, Kampung Serambangun, Kampung Luagan Dudok, Kampung Bakiau Kiudang and Kampung Kupang.
Also joining the group are Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, Head of Sengkarai Village, Tutong District, Yang Mulia Dayang Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Acting Director of Community Development, senior officers from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (community sector), officers from Department of Community Development as well as the chiefs and heads of the respective villages.

BELAIT DISTRICT
Meanwhile in Belait Distict, Kembara Amal Ramadan group was led by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin, Permanent Secretary (Youth) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
A total of 4 houses were visited starting from Kampung Sungai Teraban, STKRJ Mumong 'A', Jalan Keruak, RPN Panaga, Seria and Jalan Nakhoda Manis, Seria.
Also joining the group are senior officers from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (youth sector), officers from Department of Community Development as well as the chiefs and heads of the respective villages.

BRUNEI MUARA DISTRICT
And in Brunei and Muara District, the group was led by YM Dr Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Acting Permanent Secretaries (Sports) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
A total of 4 houses were visited starting from Jalan Limau Manis, Kampung Pengkalan Batu, Kampung Lumapas B, Kampung Perpindahan Lambak Kanan and Kampung Pulaie.
Also joining the group are Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Mohamed, Head of Kampung Putat, Brunei and Muara District, senior officers from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (sports sector), officers from Department of Community Development as well as the chiefs and heads of the respective villages.
The recipients of the donation include those who receive the Monthly Welfare, the Disability Allowance, the Old Age Pension, and the orphans.
The program is an annual initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports to strengthen ties between the government and the needy community. It is our hope that this donation will not only ease the burden of those in need but also bring them joy as we jointly welcome the Feast of Aidilfitri with gratitude and happiness.
