Bandar Seri Begawan, Wednesday, 23 Ramadan 1445 / 03 April 2024 - Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, has received a donation for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinian in Gaza 2023 from the Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Allied Members this morning in the building of the Ministry of Culture and Youth and Sport.
The contribution, amounting to B$4,180.00, was submitted by YM Pengiran Datin Hajah Salwana binti Pengiran Haji Ibrahim as the representative of the Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, and Allied Members. This donation represents contributions from the members of the group.
Also present to witness the donation were YM Dayang Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, the Acting Director of Community Development, officials from the Department of Community Development and members of the group.
The donation period for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 has been extended for another three months, until April 18, 2024, to allow individuals to continue their charitable activities and donations to the Palestinians in Gaza.
Individuals wishing to make a donation should seek prior permission from the Department of Community Development of the National Committee of the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 if the entire donation (100%) is intended for the fund. If any registered individuals, associations, and other agencies wish to donate only a portion of the net proceeds obtained from holding activities in the form of public entertainment, it is advisable to seek prior authorization from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In addition, individuals who wish to donate can also do so online through the account of the Islamic Bank of Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), account number 00-001-01-0089051 (Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023) or through the QuickPay BIBD service by scanning the QR Code available on the posters and stickers of the National Humanitarian Fund for Palestinian in Gaza 2023.
Donation boxes are available in mosques, prayer halls, bank buildings, business establishments, and public buildings across the country. Additionally, the public can directly contribute to the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 by visiting the Management and Administration Division, Level 2, Department of Community Development, located in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports building on Jalan Kebangsaan, Bandar Seri Begawan, Negara Brunei Darussalam during office hours
