The men's open category and the men's veteran category are the two (2) divisions competing in this tournament. There will be five house teams competing for gold, silver, and bronze medals: Bunga Putar, Arap Gegati, Sukma Indera, Silubang Bangsi, and Liputan Madu. These teams are made up of employees from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports and its departments.

The opening ceremony of the Inter-house Futsal Tournament 2023 was held on Sunday, 22 Rabiulakhir 1445 / 5 November 2023, at 7.30 p.m. at the Multipurpose Hall, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, Berakas. Present to officiate and launch the event was Yang Mulia Pengiran Mohamad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary (Sports), Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports. Followed by welcoming remarks by Yang Mulia Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.

Presents at the opening ceremony were the Acting Permanent Secretary, heads of divisions and departments, officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports and its departments, along with their families.

The organizing of this tournament allows skilled players to exhibit their talents in the hopes of being chosen to represent the MCYS in the Inter-Ministry Futsal competition. Furthermore, it promotes a healthy and competitive environment among MCYS employees, fostering collaboration and friendship.
