Tanah Jambu, Thursday, 21 May — A total of 25 participants from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and its departments successfully completed the Dikir Brunei (Syarafil Anam) Workshop, organized by the Youth Development Centre (PPB) under the Division of Spiritual and Religious Affairs.

The closing ceremony, held at PPB, was officiated by the Assistant Director of PPB, Awang Haswandi bin Haji Osman, who presented certificates to the participants.

Conducted over two days beginning on 20 May 2026, the workshop aimed to preserve and promote the nation's cultural heritage. It also provided participants with deeper knowledge and appreciation of the beauty of Dikir Brunei, enabling them to understand traditional techniques and embrace the noble values embedded within this art form.

The PPB expressed hope that such initiatives will inspire greater interest among the Malay Muslim community, particularly the younger generation in Brunei Darussalam, to value and continue the practice of dikir as an integral part of Brunei's cultural identity.
