BERAKAS, Tuesday, 18 Jamadilakhir 1447 / 9 December 2025 – A total of 37 members of the Brunei Darussalam contingent, comprising 28 athletes in the sports of Netball, Pencak Silat and Wushu, together with 9 officials including Liaison Officers, Medical Officers and Coaches, departed for Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the 33rd SEA Games 2025.


Present at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell and deliver words of encouragement was Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary (Culture), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.


Also in attendance were Senior Officers of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, representatives of National Sports Associations and families of the athletes.


The ceremony began with the recitation of Doa Selamat led by Yang Mulia Awang Shahram bin Haji Abd Rahman, followed by words of encouragement to the Brunei Darussalam contingent, and concluded with a group photo session.


The third group will depart for Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday, 10 December 2025.
